I was pretty fast, but I made some mistakes. Actually, the typewriters weren't that bad. Now, as for the first computers... oh my gosh!‎ W: What do you mean?‎ M: In those days, we used to use the ones at the university in the computer lab. I’ll never forget, one spring, during final exams, everybody was working on their term papers, and the electricity went out.‎ W: So? No big deal... laptops have batteries ...‎ M: Yes, but remember, in those days we didn't have laptops. If your computer crashed, you lost everything. Everybody lost their papers that afternoon ... including me.‎ W: What did you do? ‎ M: I went back to the good, old-fashioned way.‎ W: You mean typewriters?‎ M: No, the first word processor.‎ ‎ ‎ Text l0‎ ‎ Hello, everybody. I’m Jenny Smith. As the editor, I’d like to introduce you to our newspaper Campus Daily. We need 5 volunteers to work with us for our newspaper. Experience is necessary, but writing and typing skills are in great demand. We need people to rewrite articles and type them. We also need a good photographer. Although many of our staff members are journalism majors, we still have several engineers and a few law students working for us. Since our newspaper comes out five days a week, we need excellent students who know how to make good use of their time. There is some money for salaries. But don’t expect to get rich. Mostly, working with us is just for fun. Anyone who is interested in joining the staff ， please let me know immediately after this meeting. Be prepared to start right away.
