(2)heavily是副词, 意为“在很大程度上, 大量地”, 其形容词是 heavy。 拓展 形容词+-ly变为副词的方法汇总: A.直接加-ly, 如sudden→suddenly; careful→carefully; polite→politely等。 B.以-le结尾的形容词去掉e加-y, 如comfortable→comfortably; possible→possibly等。 C.以辅音字母加y结尾的形容词, 把y变i再加-ly, 如 heavy→heavily; happy→happily等。 2.I called at seven and you didn’t pick up. 我七点时打电话了, 但是你没有接电话。 剖析 pick up意为“接电话”, 相当于pick up the phone。 What happened? I called several times, but no one picked up. 怎么了? 我打了几次电话, 但是没有人接。 拓展 pick up还有“拿起, 捡起, 拾起”之意, 名词作其宾语时, 置 于两词中间或短语末皆可; 代词作其宾语时, 必须置于两词中间。 Jack picked up his hat/picked his hat up and went out. 杰克拿起帽子走了出去。 Helen saw the rubbish on the floor and picked it up. 海伦看见地上有垃圾就把它捡了起来。
