I had to wait until my roommate got back so that I could get my textbooks.‎ ‎(Text 4)‎ M: Excuse me, ma'am. Why don't you sit down here?‎ W: No, thank you. I’m getting off at the next bus stop.‎ ‎(Text 5)‎ M: It's too hard to form a habit. I guess I'll never get used to getting up early.‎ W: Why say so? You’ve tried the first step.‎ ‎(Text 6)‎ W: What can I do for you?‎ M: I'm trying to find this book. But it doesn't seem like this library has it.‎ W: Have you checked the computer?‎ M: I have already. It says the book is on the shelf, but I didn't find it there.‎ W: We can always borrow books from the library in the city center.‎ M: You can do that?‎ W: Yes. I’ll make the call and let you know when it gets in. Could you give me your phone number?‎ M: OK. I'll write it down here.‎ ‎(Text 7)‎ W: This weekend is so boring M: Well, do you have any plans?‎ W: Let's go out and do something tomorrow. I'd like to do some sport. What about going skating with me?‎ M: I'd rather play baseball. I'd like to have a game tomorrow. That would be exciting.‎ W: Don't be silly. We can't play baseball with just you and me. We could cycle to the park and take a picnic.‎ M: Great idea.‎ ‎(Text 8)‎ W: I just received a call from the sales manager on the 2nd floor. He said their Internet is down again. Can you go there and find out what the problem is?‎ M: Well, I’m really busy fixing a problem with the marketing director's computer. He asked me to get this repair work finished today. I heard he has to give a lecture at the meeting tomorrow. Can that wait?‎ W: I don't think so. The members of the sales department on the 2nd floor are preparing some reports. They have to meet important customers this afternoon.‎ M: All right. Then, I'll take care of that first.‎ ‎(Text 9)‎ W: So here's the bedroom. That last boy who lived here left his bed, so you can use that. And there's an old desk and chair in the garage you could have.‎ M: Hmm, that would be good.‎ W: And this is the bathroom. There are three of us, so it gets crowded in the morning sometimes.‎ M: OK.‎ W: And there’s the kitchen. It’s kind of messy today. Sorry. We had a great party last night.‎ M: Hmm. So what’s the rent?‎ W: $‎300 a month each, and we pay for water and electricity, too. It’s kind of like $‎15 a month each.‎ M: That’s not bad.‎ W: It's a pretty good place. And we have lots of fun here.‎ M: How long does it take to get to the university? I have classes every morning.‎ W: Oh, I study there too. I ride my bike to the university every day. It's only about, um, ten minutes M: Oh, good. That's convenient.‎ ‎(Text 10)‎ W: Welcome to the Ipswich Arts Festival. We held this year's festival here in Trafalgar‎ ‎Park. If you look at your map, you will see the entrance to the festival on Trafalgar Road. Directly opposite the entrance, you'll see a bridge, and to the left of this you'll find this year's Sculpture‎ ‎Garden. It's a lovely setting to admire the skill of the sculptures. If you follow the path through the middle of the park, you'll reach the Catering‎ ‎Village, where you can buy food and drinks. Just past there is an area between the Catering village and the toilets where you 'll find an exhibition of paintings all done by local artists. If you then go back past the Catering‎ ‎Village, on the left is this year's Craft Market. This is always a popular area of the festival, where you can admire the handwork of our talented exhibitors. As always, we have live bands playing on stage throughout the festival. The stage is just to the right of the entrance. As well as live music, we also add a special section for literature lovers this year. You'll be able to listen to a variety of authors reading from their latest works. You can also enjoy a new section that our talented group of actors will be performing modern plays.‎
