His doctor told him that he could get heart disease if he kept eating unhealthy food. ‎ M: He looks pretty healthy to me. ‎ W: Well, he's in pretty good shape for his age. But he's turning fifty next year, and heart disease runs in his family, so we decided to make some changes. ‎ M: Is there anything else that he can't eat?‎ W: Well, I really try to limit the amount of salt and sugar in our food. And we never eat fried food anymore. ‎ M: So, what do you usually cook?‎ W: Mostly green vegetables, but we do eat rice and noodles sometimes. We've both actually lost a lot of weight!‎ Text 9‎ M: So how is everything in the apartment? Is the bedroom air conditioner working well?‎ W: Well, it cools pretty well now, but it sure makes an awful lot of noise. It makes it hard to sleep sometimes. ‎ M: Oh, really? I'll have someone take a look at it. How about the refrigerator? You said it wasn't cooling properly?‎ W: Oh, it's working fine now, thanks. ‎ M: Good, and is the washing machine OK?‎ W: Yes, since you had it fixed last year, I haven't had any problems with the water leaking. I want to talk to you about the sofa, though. It's really uncomfortable. Maybe it's time to replace it. How old is it, anyway?‎ M: Well, I admit it is pretty old. About 20 years, I guess. Maybe it is time to think about a new one. Is the TV set working on all the stations?‎ W: Not really. The reception is bad on some of the stations. ‎ M: OK. I will have it checked out next week. ‎ Text 10‎ W: Attention! Attention! This is an announcement for all passengers and crew aboard this cruise ship! It seems that we have run out of fuel, and will have to stop in approximately ten ‎ minutes. We are around 200 miles off the coast, and we are in the process of contacting the coast guard to come to our rescue. Please do not panic! There is no danger of us sinking! We are merely unable to move! Once help arrives, we will make another announcement, and let you know how to proceed. In the meantime, please continue to enjoy our many onboard luxuries, like our warm water pool, our tennis courts, and our gym. Our staff will also be handing out free drink in the dining halls.
