Module９　Population 模块同步语法精讲精练 ► 不定冠词的用法 ①泛指某一类人、事或物。 eg ： An elephant is the biggest animal on land. 大象是陆地上最大的动物。 ②泛指某人或某物，但不具体说明何人何物。 eg ： A man is sitting there. 一个男子正坐在那里。 ③表示 “ 每一 ” ，相当于 every 。 eg ： I go to school five days a week. 我一周上五天课。 ④表示 “ 一个 ” 的概念。 eg ： I have a sister. 我有一个妹妹。 ⑤用在某些固定词组中。 eg ： a lot of 许多 【 注意 】a 用于辅音音素开头的单词前； an 用于元音音素开头的单词前。 ► 定冠词的用法 ①表示特指的人或物。 eg ： The children are coming. 孩子们就要来了。 ②表示世界上独一无二的事物。 eg ： the sun 太阳 ③指说话双方都知道的人或物。 eg ： Open the door ， please. 请打开窗户。 ④指上文提到过的人或物。 eg ： I have a car.The car is red. 我有一辆小汽车，它是红色的。 ⑤用于序数词或最高级前。 eg ： The first lesson is the easiest one in this book. 第一课是这本书中最简单的一课。 ⑥用于专有名词、某些形容词、姓氏复数形式前。 eg ： the Great Wall 长城； the poor 穷人； the Greens 格林一家人 ⑦用于乐器名称、方位词等前。 eg ： play the piano 弹钢琴； on the left 在左边 ⑧用在单数名词前表示泛指。 eg ： The computer has changed the way people work. 计算机改变了人们的工作方式。 ► 零冠词的用法 ①在有些专有名词和不可数名词 ( 表泛指 ) 前。 ②名词前已有指示代词、物主代词、不定代词或名词所有格等修饰时。 ③在表示学科、三餐、球类运动、棋类运动的名词前。 ► 千位数以上 从数字的右端向左端数起，每三位数加一个逗号 “ ，”。从右开始，第一个逗号前面的数字后添加 thousand ，第二个逗号前面的数字后添加 million ，第三个逗号前面的数字后添加 billion ，然后一节一节分别表示。两个逗号之间最大的数为百位数形式。 eg ： 2 ， 648 　 two thousand ， six hundred and fortyeight 16 ， 250 ， 064 　 sixteen million ， two hundred and fifty thousand ， and sixtyfour 5 ， 237 ， 166 ， 234 　 five billion ， two hundred and thirtyseven million ， one hundred and sixtysix thousand ， two hundred and thirtyfour 【 注意 】① 基数词在表示具体的数字时，不能使用百、千、百万、十亿的复数形式。 eg ： one hundred apples three hundred apples ② 当基数词表示不具体的数字时，如成百、成千上万等时，基数词则以复数形式出现，且后面必须加介词 of 。 eg ： There are hundreds of people in the hall. 大厅里有数以百计的人。 一、单项选择。 1 ． It is a good habit to go to ______bed early and get up early.
