‎ ‎ [高考典例] 2016•天津卷•B篇 ‎[读文明晰文章结构]‎ ‎[1]Every man wants his son to be somewhat of a clone, not in features but in footsteps. As he grows you also age, and your ambitions become more unachievable. You begin to realize that your boy, in your footsteps, could probably accomplish what you hoped for. But footsteps can be muddied and they can go off in different directions.‎ ‎[2]My son Jody has hated school since day one in kindergarten. Science projects waited until the last moment. Book reports weren’t written until the final threat.‎ ‎[3]I’ve been a newspaperman all my adult life. My daughter is a university graduate working toward her master’s degree in English. But Jody? When he entered the tenth grade he became a “votech” student They’re called “motorheads” by the rest of the student body.‎ ‎[4]When a secretary in my office first called him “motorhead”, I was shocked. “Hey, he’s a good kid,” I wanted to say. “And smart, really.”‎ ‎[5]I learned later that motorheads are, indeed, different. They usually have dirty hands and wear dirty work clothes. And they don’t often make school honor rolls (光荣榜).‎ ‎[6]But being the parent of a motorhead is itself an experience in education. We who labor in clean shirts in offices don’t have the abilities that motorheads have. I began to learn this when I had my car crashed. The cost to repair it was estimated at $800. “Hey, I can fix it,” said Jody. I doubted it, but let him go ahead, for I had nothing to lose.‎ ‎[7]My son, with other motorheads, fixed the car. They got parts (零件) from a junkyard, and ability from votech classes. The cost was $25 instead of $800.‎ ‎[8]Since that first repair job, a broken airconditioner, a nonfunctioning washer and a nontoasting toaster have been fixed. Neighbors and coworkers trust their car repairs to him.‎ ‎[9]These kids are happiest when doing repairs. They joke and laugh and are living in their own relaxed world. And their minds ‎ ‎1.第1段提出自己对儿子的期望→议 ‎“As he grows you also age ...what you hoped for.” 第10~11段得出结论→议 孩子虽然学习不优秀,不能追随父亲的足迹,但他自 are bright despite their dirty hands and clothes.‎ ‎[10]I have learned a lot from my motorhead: publishers need printers, engineers need mechanics, and architects need builders. Most important, I have learned that fathers don’t need clones in footsteps or anywhere else.‎ ‎[11]My son may never make the school honor roll. But he made mine.‎ 己选择的道路却让父亲引以为豪。‎ ‎[定区间•细比对]‎ ‎41.What used to be the author’s ?‎ A.To avoid becoming his clone.‎ B.To resemble him in appearance.‎ C.To develop in a different direction.‎ D.To reach the author’s unachieved goals.‎ ‎42.What can we learn about ?‎ A.His daughter does better in school.‎ B.His daughter has got a master’s degree.‎ C.His son tried hard to finish homework.‎ D.His son couldn’t write his book reports.‎ ‎43.The author let his son because he believed that ________.‎ A.his son had the ability to fix it B.it would save him much time C.it wouldn’t cause him any more loss D.other motorheads would come to help ‎[答案] 41.D 42.A 43.C ‎41. 阅读理解 ‎(2019•福州四校联考)The idea that you can use humor, laughter, and play to make you healthier probably seems too simple to be true. However, it is really true and simple. The sense of humor, laughter and play plays an important part in keeping you healthy.‎ Treat the blues with a sense of humor, which is closely tied to laughter. Laughter is infectious. Have you ever heard a big laugh of a young child and been able to keep yourself from smiling? When laughter is shared between people, it makes them closer to each other and increases their happiness. Smiling is the beginning of laughter and a smile is also just as infectious as laughter is. You can experience something by smiling at everyone around you, and you will feel happier just by sharing a smile, even with a stranger.‎ Play is an important part of making sure that we stay healthy. We are often encouraged to make ‎ sure our children play, and are told of the benefits of being out playing. However, what we often forget is that it is just as important for old people to make play be part of their life as it’s for children. Physical play is important for the old and it certainly helps prevent illness. While the studies are still in the early stages, the studies that have been done have shown that physical play certainly plays a part in preventing cognitive (认知的) falling.‎ Anyway, adding humor, laughter, and play to our life will influence us mentally, physically and socially and bring us many advantages. 根据第二段中的“When laughter is shared between people, it makes them closer to each other and increases their happiness.” ‎ ‎3.What does the author think the old should do?‎ A.They should have a good rest.‎ B.They should play like children.‎ C.They should prevent cognitive falling.‎ D.They should take part in physical play.‎ 解析:选D 推理判断题。根据第三段中的“Physical play is important for the old and it certainly helps prevent illness.” ‎ ‎4.Which of the following would be the best title for the text?‎ A.Humor, Laughter and Play for Health B.Always Keep Our Body Healthy C.Have an Active and Happy Life D.Let Our Body and Mind Relax 解析:选A 标题归纳题。 ‎ Ⅱ.完形填空 ‎(2019•辽宁五校高三上学期联考)Göran Kropp was a Swedish adventurer and mountaineer.
