黑龙江省2019-2020学年高一上学期月考 英语试题 第Ⅰ卷 选择题(共70分)‎ 第一部分:阅读理解。(共20小题,每小题2分,共计40分)‎ A Do you love holidays but hate the increase weight that follows? You are not alone.‎ Holidays are happy days with pleasure and delicious foods. Many people, however, are worried about the weight that comes along with these delicious foods.‎ With proper planning, though, it is possible to control your weight. The idea is to enjoy the holidays but not to eat too much. You don't have to turn away from the foods that you enjoy. The following suggestions may be of some help to you.‎ Do not miss meals. Before you leave home for a feast, have a small, low-fat snack. This may help to keep you from getting too excited before delicious foods. Begin with clear soup and fruit or vegetables. A large glass of water before you eat may help you feel full. Use a small plate; a large plate will encourage you to have more than enough.‎ Better not have high-fat foods. Dishes that look oily or creamy have much fat in them.‎ Choose lean meat(瘦肉 ).Fill your plate with salad and green vegetables.‎ If you have a sweet tooth, try mints (薄荷) and fruits. They don’t have fat content as cream and chocolate.‎ Don’t let exercise take a break during the holidays. A 20-minute walk after a meal can help burn off excess(过多的) calories.‎ ‎1. Holidays are happy days with pleasure but they may ______.‎ A. bring weight problems      B. bring you much trouble in your life C. make you worried about your foods    D. make you hate delicious foods ‎2. In order to really enjoy your holidays without putting on weight, you'd better_ _.‎ A. drink much water and have vegetables only    B. not eat the food in high fat C. not accept invitations to feasts        D. turn away from delicious foods ‎3. According to the passage, ___ is a necessary part to stop you from putting on weight.‎ A. vegetables       B. water      C. calories of energy        D. physical exercise ‎4. Many people can't help putting on weight after the holidays because they _______. .‎ A. can't control themselves         B. go to too many feasts C. enjoy delicious foods         D. can't help turning away from the foods B Living and dealing with kids can be a tough job these days, but living and dealing with parents can be even tougher.‎ If I have learned anything in my 16 years, it is that communication is very important, both when you disagree and when you get along. With any relationship, you need to let other person know how you are feeling. If you are not able to communicate, you drift apart. When you are mad at your parents, or anyone else, not talking to them doesn’t solve anything.‎ Communication begins with the concerns of another. It means that you can’t just come home from school, go up to your room and ignore everyone. Even if you just say “Hi”, and see how their day was for five minutes, it is better than nothing.‎ If you looked up the word “communication” in a dictionary, it would say “the exchange of ideas, the conveyance (表达)of information, correspondence (通信), means of communication: a letter or a message”. To maintain (保持) a good relationship, you must keep communication strong. Let people know how you feel, even if it’s just by writing a note.‎ When dealing with parents, you always have to make them feel good about how they are doing as a parent. If you are trying to make them see something as you see it, tell them that you’ll listen to what they have to say, but ask them politely to listen to you. Yelling or walking away only makes the situation worse.‎ This is an example: one night, Sophie went to a street party with her friends. She knew she had to be home by midnight after the fireworks, but she didn’t feel she could just ask to go home. That would be rude. After all, they had been nice enough to take her along with them. Needless to say, she was late getting home. Her parents were mad at first, not when Sophie explained why she was late, they weren’t as mad and let the incident go. Communication is the key factor here. If Sophie’s parents had not been willing to listen, Sophie would have been in a lot of trouble.‎ Communication isn’t a one-way deal: it goes both ways. Just remember: if you get into a situation like Sophie’s, telling the other person how you feel-listening is the key factor to communication.‎ ‎5. The main idea of the second paragraph is __________.‎ A. the importance of friendship. B. to make your feeling known to others.‎ C. the importance of communication. D. the disagreement between generations.‎ ‎6. When parents and children are in communication, the key to a happy relationship is that __________.‎ A. children should always obey their parents. ‎ B. they should be equal.‎ C. parents play the leading part. ‎ D. both make the opposite know their feelings.‎ ‎7. The example in this passage proves that ___________.‎ A. Sophie’s parents are willing to listen to her. ‎ B. Sophie is very polite to her parents.‎ C. Sophie did well in explaining her being late. ‎ D. communication is the solution to misunderstanding.‎ ‎8. All the following statements are correct except “_______”.‎ A. If you don’t agree with others, you’d better let them know. ‎ B. It is better to say “Hi” to others than say nothing.‎ C. If you are not able to communicate, walk away. ‎ D. Communication is a two-way deal.‎ C THE WAY TO READ FAST Perhaps you have been told about some habits which stop a person reading fast and have been strongly asked to break those habits which you might have. Do you still have any of these bad habits? Check yourself by answering "yes" or "no" to these questions:‎ ‎1. Do you move your lips when reading silently?‎ ‎2. Do you point to words with your finger as you read?‎ ‎3. Do you move your head from side to side as you read?‎ ‎4. Do you read one word at a time?‎ If you answer "yes" to any of these questions, start at once to break the habit.‎ If you move your lips, hold your fingers over them, or hold a piece of paper between your lips while you are reading. Then if your lips move, you will know it and can stop them.‎ If you point to words, hold the two sides of your book, one side with your left hand, the other side with your right hand. Then you will not have a free finger to use in pointing while reading.‎ If you move your head, place your chin(下巴)in one hand, and hold your head still.‎ If you read no more than one or two or three words at a time, you need to work very hard in learning to take in more words at each glance(as your eyes travel across the lines of words.‎ ‎9. You may hold your fingers over your lips while reading  .‎ A. to hold a piece of paper between them. B. to stop yourself talking to others.‎ C. to tell others to be silent. D. to feel whether your lips move or not.‎ ‎10. When your eyes travel across the lines of words,   .‎ A. you need to read the words out. When you read,   .‎ A. don’t use your finger to point to words ‎ B. don’t hold your books with your hands C. don’t hold your head still ‎ D. don’t do any of the things mentioned(提到)above.‎ ‎12. This passage mainly talks about   .‎ A. the importance of fast reading           B. the bad habits in reading C. the way to read fast                     D. both A and B D Too many people want others to be their friends, but they don’t give friendship back. That is why some friendships don’t last very long. To have a friend, you must learn to treat your friend the way you want your friend to treat you. Learning to be a good friend means learning three rules: be honest; be generous;be understanding.‎ Honesty is where a good friendship starts. Friends must be able to trust one another. If you don’t tell the truth, people usually find out. If a friend finds out that you haven’t been honest, you may lose your friend’s trust. Good friends always count on one another to speak and act honestly.‎ Generosity means sharing and sharing makes a friendship grow. You don’t have to give your lunch money or your clothes, or enjoy, like our hobbies and your interests. Naturally you will want to share your ideas and feelings. These can be very valuable to a friend. They tell your friend what is important to you. By sharing them you help your friend know you better. Sooner or later everyone needs understanding and help with a problem. Something may go wrong at school. Talking about the problem can make it easier to solve. Turning to a friend can be a first step in solving the problem. So to be a friend you must listen and understand. You must try to put yourself in your friend’s place so you can understand the problem better.‎ No two friendships are ever exactly alike. But all true friendships have three things in common. If you plan to keep your friendships, you must practice honesty, generosity and understanding.‎ ‎13. Which of the following is NOT true in the passage?‎ A. A friend who gives you his lunch money is a true friend. ‎ B. Always tell your friend the truth.‎ C. Discussing your problems with your friend often helps to solve the problem. ‎ D. Sharing your mind with your friend is of great value.‎ ‎14. According to the author, how do you help your friend know you better?‎ A. Ask your friend for everything  B. Don’t tell the truth to your friend C. Share your ideas and feelings with your friend D. Give your lunch money or your clothes to your friend.‎ ‎15. The best title of this passage is  .‎ A. A Friend in Need Is a Friend Indeed     B. Honesty Is the Best Habit C. How to Be a Friend                  D.
