用的句型结构是-er and –er(或形容词,副词不规则比较级+and+形容词,副词不规则比较级);如果是多音节形容词、副词,就用more and more+原级。 ‎ ‎(1)Our city is becoming nicer and nicer. ‎ ‎(2)It’ s raining harder and harder. ‎ ‎(3)Our school is becoming more and more beautiful. ‎ ‎(4)He is becoming lazier and lazier. ‎ ‎(5)More and more students are majoring in the science of business management. ‎ ‎(1)The more you learn, the more you wish to learn. ‎ ‎(2) The sooner you start, the sooner you will finish. ‎ ‎(3) The more exciting it is, the happier they are. ‎ ‎(4) The more I know him, the more I like him. ‎ ‎(5) The more you read, the better you understand. ‎ ‎(1) He was finding it increasingly difficult to make decisions. ‎ ‎(2) There is an increasingly popular alternative. ‎ ‎(3) Increasingly, their goals have become more radical. ‎ ‎(4) It became increasingly expensive to hire casual workers. ‎ ‎(5) Water is becoming an increasingly precious resource. ‎ ‎(1)A man cannot have too my friends. ‎ ‎(2)The bad habit cannot be got rid of too soon . ‎ ‎(3)You cannot be too careful. (你越小心越好)‎ ‎(4)You cannot pay too much attention to you reading skill, as it is so important. ‎ ‎(5)You can’t be too serious. Too放在修饰词之前,enough放在修饰词之后,如:‎ You can’t be too careful in your work.=You can’t be careful enough in your work. ‎ 典题演练 ‎1.I think watching TV every evening is a waste of time — there are more_meaningful_(meaningful) things to do.‎ ‎2.—Are you satisfied with the result of the exam?‎ ‎—Not at all.
