Born in Gloucestershire,England,in 1965,Rowling was a good student whose favorite subjects were English and foreign languages, and after graduating from high school she studied French at University of Exeter.Following her graduation from Exeter,Rowling worked as a bilingual (双语的) secretary. On a train trip during this time,Rowling got the idea for a book about a boy named Harry Potter,an orphan who learns he is a wizard and enters a school of wizardry.Rowling began writing the book during lunch breaks and meetings, before finally quitting her job at age 26 and moving to Portugal to work as an English teacher.
